Success doesn't lift the fog. It makes it heavier.

More customers, more revenue, more moving parts. Suddenly there are more directions you could go and less certainty about which one is right. The better it goes, the more options you carry, and the harder it gets to see the one that matters.

So when someone tells me they're stuck, I've stopped believing the first thing they say. They almost always tell me they're stuck on the wrong thing. They're not. Nine times out of ten they're working on exactly the right thing. They're just working it in the wrong phase.

That's the whole idea. FOG isn't a ladder you climb. It's a way to see which phase your business is really in, so you stop pouring effort into a move the business isn't ready for.

Why I built this

For fifteen years I've built products in music tech, wellness tech and AI. Raised $5M+ in venture capital. Won awards. Hired the wrong people, scaled too fast, killed projects too late. That's where the patterns come from.

I've been the operator on the other side of every diagnostic I now run. More than once.

Every business sits in one of three phases.

[F] Foundation

The business still runs on you. The thing that makes it good lives in your head, not on paper, and it works because you're there.

The tell. If you stepped away for a month, you'd worry.

The work. Getting what only you can do out of your head and into something that runs without you.

[O] Optimization

It can run without you, but it doesn't pull yet. You still go out and win each customer one at a time, and every few months it feels like starting from scratch.

The tell. All the weight is still on you to push.

The work. Making the thing pull, so the right people come to you and each month builds on the last.

[G] Growth

It runs without you, and it pulls. The only thing left in your way is the number of hours in your day.

The tell. The ceiling you keep hitting is your own capacity, nothing else.

The work. Building reach that doesn't cost you more of yourself.

Two mistakes show up again and again.

The revenue mirage

Phase and revenue aren't the same thing. You can be making good money and still sit in Foundation, with the whole business balanced on you being in the room. Money hides the cracks. I've watched businesses with healthy numbers fall over the moment the founder took a break, because the revenue was real and the foundation underneath it wasn't. Phase is about how the business runs, not how much it makes.

Reaching too far ahead

When you feel stuck the instinct is to look forward. The growth play, the new channel, the next exciting thing. But the thing actually holding you back is almost always behind you, one phase back, sometimes two. You reach for growth while the real block is a foundation that was never finished. The signal is rarely where you're looking.

What phase are you really in?

Question 1 of 6

What is the next big move you feel you should be making?

When a self-check isn't enough

Over three days I work through your business from the outside, find the one real thing holding you back, and give you the exact implementation plan to build the system that helps you grow. No guessing.

Who it's for

In my experience, two patterns show up most often. One is a systems problem. The other is a time problem.

The work keeps coming back to you

You have people, and it still lands on your desk. Every judgement call routes through you because the way it should be done was never written down, only demonstrated. So you step back in, the standard holds while you are holding it, and the moment you let go it slips again. Nobody is doing anything wrong. There is just no process for them to follow.

Your day goes to repetitive work

Hours every day go to tasks that should be systemized or automated. The grind keeps things moving, but it's also keeping you from the moves that would actually grow the business.

If either pattern feels familiar, this is for you. The diagnostic works through three questions together. Where you're stuck, what it's costing you, and the specific next moves that get you to growth.

What you get

  • A live 90-minute strategy session with me, recorded for your reference.
  • A written FOG® plan that maps your business to the framework and names the phase you're actually in.
  • An implementation plan with specific actions, sequenced. You can start it Monday. Scope reflects your business, anywhere from a week to a few months.
  • One follow-up email exchange within 14 days for clarification.

How it runs

A short free call confirms the fit before you pay anything. A pre-call brief lands 48 hours before the session, so I have done the homework by the time we meet. Your written plan arrives three business days after it.

If you decide afterward that you need an AI harness and application layer, I'll hand you to Optimize Labs, my boutique AI agency. Their engagement is separate, with its own pricing (€4,999 single build, €10K+ Custom).

Two paths. You decide once you have the implementation plan.

Path A. Run it yourself.

You take the FOG Map and execute it. This is what most founders should do. The plan is built to be executable without me.

Path B. Optimize Labs runs it for you.

If the Map identifies AI, automation or systems work you'd rather hand off, I hand you over to Optimize Labs, the agency I founded. Separate engagement, but no scope creep. They build exactly what's in the plan.

FAQ

Is this consulting or a productized service?

Productized. Fixed scope, fixed price, fixed delivery time. I structured it this way deliberately so you know exactly what you're buying.

Can I bring my co-founder or operator?

Yes. Up to two people on the live session. Beyond that the diagnostic loses its edge.

What if I need AI execution after?

I'll hand you to Optimize Labs. Their engagement is separate, qualified separately, priced separately.

What if the FOG® Diagnostic isn't the right fit for me?

The booking call is how we find that out before you pay. If I think you'd be better served elsewhere, I'll say so.

Do you offer refunds?

No. The booking call exists precisely so you don't pay for something that isn't right for you. If there's any doubt, book the call first.
