Question 1 of 6

What is the next big move you feel you should be making?

What this health check looks at

Most business health checks look at the numbers. This one looks at how the business runs, because that's what decides your next move. Every business sits in one of three phases.

Foundation

The business still runs on you. The thing that makes it good lives in your head, not on paper, and it works because you're there. The tell:if you stepped away for a month, you'd worry.

Optimization

It can run without you, but it doesn't pull yet. You still go out and win each customer one at a time. The tell: all the weight is still on you to push.

Growth

It runs without you, and it pulls. The only thing left in your way is the number of hours in your day. The tell: the ceiling you keep hitting is your own capacity, nothing else.

The mistake I see most is doing the right thing in the wrong phase: paying for ads, a hire or new software while the business still needs fixing one phase back. Money hides it. You can be making good money and still be in Foundation.

Questions

Is the business health check free?

Yes. Six questions, about 90 seconds, and you see your result straight away. Your email is only needed if you want the result sent to you.

Is this a financial health check?

No. It doesn't look at your accounts. It looks at how the business runs: whether it needs you in the room, whether customers come to you, and whether your hours are the ceiling. Revenue can look fine in any phase.

What do I get at the end?

The phase your business is really in (Foundation, Optimization or Growth), the signal from your answers, one next move, and an optional check on whatever you're about to spend money on.

What if I want more than a self-check?
